Incomplete medieval copper alloy spur buckle with an oval frame and integral plate. The plate tapers gently, with chamfered sides, past the pin hole, a rvet hole partly blocked with deayed iron and two small projections on both sides. After the second pair of projections the sides are almost parallel and without chamfers. Shortly beyond an abrupt narrowing there is a break across a second rivet hole. Extant length 42.3mm. Width of frame 13.8mm. Width of plate 9 - 4.5mm. 13th - 14th century.
