Copper alloy terminal in the form of a standing figure. This crude figure has been made in three dimensions to represent a standing, draped figure, presumably of a Roman-like female. The figure is shown fully draped with the left arm down the side of the body and the right arm raised to the face. The right hand clearly has a finger raised to the face and seems to be picking its nose. The face is rudimentary and only the raised nose and incised eyes are visible. The hairstyle is crudely and plainly moulded to show a roll of hair around the head with a bun. The figure has broken away from another object and the break edge is now worn smooth and slightly rounded. The object has an even greeny brown patina. The figure is 30.9mm long, 9.36mm wide, 5.7mm thick and weighs 6.43g. Given the crude nature of manufacture, irreverent subject matter and small size of the figure, it is unlikely to be Roman in date. It is not dissimilar to figures found on late medieval and post medieval apostle spoons, but given the nature of the subject matter, this may perhaps be an 18th century object of amusement.
