A collection of three ceramic heavily abraded greyware vessel sherds of Roman date dating to c.AD 43-410. All three sherds are from a similar hard fired grey fabric, with a sandy temper. Abundant black sub-rounded chert, <1mm, occasional rounded to sub-angular quartz, <2mm (although most quartz inclusions visible <1mm), rare sub-rounded grey stone inclusions, <2.5mm, occasional iron stone, and with frequent micaeous flecks. None of the pieces are diagnostic of the form of vessel they originate from althoguh the base may be from a flagon ot jug.
