An incomplete cast copper-alloy fragment originating from a spearhead of later Middle Bronze Age to Late Bronze Age date, c. 1350-800 BC. It is broadly triangular in form and sub-lozengiform in section. Only the tip of the blade survives, demonstrating a prominent midrib on both sides flanked by two smaller ridges. At its lower edge there is a neat broadly straight truncation which has served to separate the tip from the rest of the object. Though the base does not survive, Peter Reavill suggests that this is probably a pegged form. Preserved in good condition with an even green patina, it survives to a length of 38.91mm, 13.12mm wide at its truncated end by 6.10mm thick, and weighs 9.2g.
