Small fragment of a Roman headstud or T-shaped brooch, probably dating from the early Roman period, that is the 1st-2nd century AD. The fragment is very worn and all surfaces are very abraded. The pin and foot are missing, and did not have a spring as it was a hinged construction. There may have been a hook or loop or a moulded knop at the head end of the brooch. The remaining bow is plain, possibly tinned.

Class: T-shaped
