A fragment of a possible copper alloy cheek piece of probable early medieval date. The piece is flat and very abraded. One end terminates in a knop which then flattens and widens to what may be the beginnings of a circular loop. This loop appears to have had a central bar. The piece is 37mm in length, 23.2mm at its widest point and 3.7mm thick. It weighs 9.93 grams.
