An incomplete copper-alloy single loop buckle of Medieval date (c. AD 1250 - 1400). The buckle is broadly circular in plan with a protruding pin recess and the remains of the integral plate. There is an off-centre circular perforation on the plate measuring 2.85mm in diameter where the pin would have been mounted; the pin has been lost. Where the integral plate has been broken, there is the edge of a rivet hole. The buckle has no visible decoration with the exception of a incised line approximately across the centre of the circular perforation. The frame varies in thickness due to wear and damage in the ploughsoil. It has a mid-green surface patina.
The buckle measures 19.23mm in length, 16.89mm in width, 2.49mm thick and weighs 1.07grams.
