A circular lead seal matrix; there is no trace of a handle. In the centre is a crudely incised crescent and star. Surrounding this is an equally crudely cast legend, some letters of which appear to have been further worked (?with a knife).
The inscription S'IOHIS FIL RADULFI can be translated as 'The seal of John Fitz Ralph'.
On the back is an incised design formed of curvilinear lines and triangles, the meaning of which is unclear.
Inscription:
S'IOHIS FIL RADULFI
