Incomplete medieval copper alloy strap fitting, a flat-sectioned sheet strip bent and broken at one end, pierced by two rivet holes, both containing rivets with circular roves, and by a third hole of the same size between the other two but nearer to one than the other. The purpose of the third hole is unknown. Perhaps it was the result of an adjustment of the maker's plan or was simply a mistake. Extant length 23mm. Width 5.3mm. Thickness 0.8mm. 14th century.
