An incomplete copper alloy buckle of medieval to post-medieval date, circa AD 1350-1650. The pin is missing. The buckle has a double loop oval frame. The strap bar is narrowed and the frame is indented at either side. The upper face is slightly convex and the reverse face is flat. The metal has a brown-green coloured patina. A similar example can be seen in Whitehead, p.53, no.293 and is dated to circa AD 1350 - 1650.
The object measures 36.49 mm in length, 19.31 mm in width, 2.28 mm in thickness and weighs 3.7 grams.
