An incomplete copper alloy buckle of medieval to post-medieval date, circa AD 1350-1650. The pin is missing. The buckle is a double loop oval with a broadly rectangular frame with bevelled internal and outside edges. The strap bar is narrowed and the frame is indented slightly at either side. The upper face is slightly convex and the reverse face is flat. The metal has a brown-green coloured patina. A similar example can be seen in Whitehead, p.53, no.300 and is dated to circa AD 1350 - 1650.

The object measures 22.97 mm in length, 21.05 mm in width, 1.99 mm in thickness and weighs 2.5 grams.
