Copper alloy button. Three piece hollow composite discoid uniform button, with a drawn wire loop threaded into its back. A die stamped button front bears the image of a cannon and rammer/sponge below an arched Crown Imperial. The image may suggest an artillery unit, though not necessarily the Royal Artillery, as the Regimental motto is omitted. A separate back plate bears a stamped maker's back mark: [---]& WRIGHT LIMITED.BIRMINGHAM. The button front retains traces of green paint, suggesting it was attached to a uniform of khaki drab. Suggested date: Modern, 1900-1920.

Diameter: 22.4mm, Thickness (clear of loop): 6.1mm, Weight: 4.64gms

Class: Uniform
