Medieval (13th and early 14th century) harness pendant: The copper alloy pendant is incomplete and has a sub-circular body and narrowed knops equi-distant around the edge, however, some knops are not missing. The body is in high relief with a centric ring. The central field has traces of red enamel, the surrounding border has traces of a dark blue enamel. The border has high-relief pellets as decoration. The surface of the pendant I heavily abraded and has traces of a light green patina otherwise the surface is a matte dark brown colour. The reverse is undecorated.

It measures 21.24mm long, 20.24mm wide and 6.28mm thick. It weighs 4.3g.

The harness pendant dates to the Medieval period and were most popular in the 13th and early 14th century (Griffiths, 1986). A similar pendant is illustrated in Ashley (2002), No. 235.
