A fragment of a cast copper alloy probable spoon, probably Roman in date. The item is 38.56mm in length, 10.10mm at its greatest width and weighs 4.89g. It appears to be part of the drop and shoulders of a spoon with a small section of the bowl at one end and a small section of the stem at the other.

The end which appears to be the top of bowl is currently a sub rectangular shovel shape with quite a deep scoop-like bowl. It measures10.03mm across the shoulders and 11.43mm in length. Above that the drop is rectangular in section, widening to the front a little and ending in a circumferential collar-like ridge (this section 13.65mm in length). Above that the stem arches away, briefly circular in section but flattening out into a D shape section, ending in a rounded break.
