An incomplete lead-alloy spoon of probable Post-Medieval date (c. AD 1500 - 1700). The spoon was cast as one piece. It is in three fragments and is incomplete; one fragment has come from the bowl and two from the stem. The stem is broadly sub-oval in section which flattens as the stem widens. The largest fragment is the spoon terminal which is broadly rectangular in plan with a triangular end. The seocnd stem fragment is broadly rectangular in plan and the bowl fragment is irregularly shaped. There is visible decoration on the spoon handle terminal formed of raised ribs and pellets though there is no obvious pattern. The bowl fragment has an incised line on one of the faces which borders the curved edge. The spoon fragments are mid grey in colour and the edges are abraded.
Spoon handle terminal: 53.3mm length, 21.5mm width, 3.8mm thickness, 14.13grams.
Handle fragment: 36.8mm length, 20.0mm width, 9.8mm thickness, 7.9grams.
Bowl fragment: 28.4mm length, 17.6mm width, 3.4mm thickness, 4.7grams.
