An incomplete copper-alloy barrel tap of Post-Medieval date, circa AD1700- 1900. The fragment is cylindrical, tapering along it's length to a closed spout with three off-centre perforations with a crude circumferential border. The length of the tap is decorated with numerous linear striations and four rows of four irregularly aligned perforations. The open end is broken and worn, and the tap is hollow. Similar fragments have been recorded as WMID-5BB0A6, LIN-D1CFC7, ESS-2D7105 and YORYM-588BCE.
Length 25.7 mm, diameter 14.9 mm, thickness 16.6 mm. Weight 16.7 gm.
