Roman copper alloy hairpin, the head and a small length of the shank only, in abraded condition. The simple head is flat-topped and deocrated with about six horizontal grooves. Cool 1990, Group 5, Sub-group D. Extant length 20.6mm. Diameter 6.2mm. Mid 1st - 4th century.
