Small flattened out fragment of the mouth of a post-medieval sheet copper alloy scabbard chape with two projections with fine engraved lines imitative of a scallop shell, a pair of oblique engraved lines flanking a row of punched dots, and one attachment hole. For similar projections see NMS-04FED5 and de Reuck 1991, 24, 3rd row down, 2nd from left. Extant length and width 13 and 17.5mm. 16th century.
