Unique ID: WAW-94DC39

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Neolithic to early Bronze Age (c. 4000 to 1000BC) end scraper: The scraper appears to be knapped from a tertiary flake which is an elongated drop shape. The dorsal surface has two vertical scars with re-touch scars which are invasive and abrupt, occurring on the distal end. The ventral surface has invasive scars which have removed the bulb of percussion, and conchoidal ripples. The scraper is knapped from flint which is a mottled mid grey where it is recently chipped, otherwise the surface has developed a mottled grey/white patina.

It measures 39.29mm long, 22.04mm wide, 9.1mm thick and weighing 6.96g.

The scraper is probably a rounded/ end and side scraper and dates to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age periods, c. 4000 to 1000BC.
