Iron nails. Two wrought iron nails (a and b), the larger retaining a square head above a probably round section shank - the appearance of angularity arising from the pattern of flaking corrosion. The loss of metal core appears to have been more severe for the smaller object; possibly the older of the two. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1800.
