An abraded ceramic rim-sherd originating from a probable wheel-thrown high storage jar of late Iron Age date, c. 100 BC-50 AD. It is a rough brown colour on its outer surface, while the inner fabric is a more oxidised grey colour and rather porous. Medium to large sized chunks of burnt flint and quartz temper are visible in the fabric. The rim is heavily everted. Preserved in fair condition, it survives to a length of 26.5mm and a width of 29.97mm, while the rim is c. 15.11mm thick at its midpoint. It weighs 20.9g.
