A fragment from the body of a ceramic vessel, probably dating to the Early Medieval period. The fragment is broadly triangular in plan and slightly curved in profile. It is black in colour, burnished on the exterior and interior, and has frequent angular calcite grits which are poorly sorted and emptying out onto the surface (varying from 1 to 6mm in size). It is wheel spun and hard fired.
The fragment measures 60.92mm in length, 55.57mm in width, 12.92mm in thickness and weighs 39.95g.
