A Post Medieval copper alloy sword belt fitting with a hook and two rivet holes with iron rivet remains. The fitting has a foliate decoration on the central panel. It dates to c. 16th Century AD. This sword belt hanger is asymmetrical with a decorated foliate plate with a forward facing butted globular-ended hooks, the two rivet holes at either end retain the traces of iron corrosion. The patina is a mid-grey. The length is 48mm, the width is 24mm and the weight 9.50g. (see Read 2008, 220).
