A very worn silver penny, either Edward I (r.1239-1307) or Edward II (r.1284-1327) of class 10cf3a3 or 10cf3b1 (North 1042/1 or 1042/2), minted at Durham 1307-1309. Either by the royal mint or episcopal mint of Bishop Anthony Bek.
Obverse.: Facing crowned bust. Legend: '[+EDWA R] ANGL DN[S hYB]'. Reverse: Long cross dividing legend with three pellets in each quarter. Legend: 'C[IV]I/[TAS]/DVR/[EME]'.
Measurements: 17.68mm in diameter, 1.22mm thick and 1.23g in weight.
