An incomplete copper alloy cast made buckle, dating to the post medieval period AD c.1500-1650.

The buckle is sun rectangular in shape, with a single loop and a recessed strap bar. The buckles feet are splayed with knops on the end, and both frames which lead off the feet taper inwards towards the front bar. This front bar has a notched front, with an oval on ovoid knop. Below this, is an engraved curvilinear decorative groove. The pin of the buckle is missing and the underside remains undecorated.

Overall, the width of the object is 48.27mm, the height is 31.37m and the weight is 10.71g.
