An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Hod Hill type dating to the Roman period, c. 43-75 AD. The head is broadly trapezoidal in shape, with a central sub-rectangular cut out for the pin. Below the head, the sub-rectangular body of the brooch flares outwards, decorated with three longitudinal moulded ridges. The edges of the brooch are not preserved. The lower part of the bow are separated from the main body by two moulded transverse ridges. The foot is missing. It measures 32mm long (without accounting for the bent head), 18mm wide at its midpoint and weighs 3.04g.
