A cast faceted gold finger-ring dating to the 15th century.
Description: The loop is now distorted and sub-circular in plan. The interior of the band is plain while the exterior is divided into twelve rectangular sections or facets, each separated by a transverse groove. These facets are engraved with an alternating series of sunbursts (or floral) and more defined folliate decorations, made slightly indistinct through wear. The band is rectangular in form and the gold appears to be of good quality.
