A Post Medieval lid, metal not specified, with a corn-like 'cartwheel penny' type design on the to and a laureate bust of GeorgeIII facing right, with an inscription (from 8 o'clock position) GEORGIUS III D.G.REX.
The exterior measurment is 40.9mm in diameter, a thickness of 5.2mm and a weight of 22.34. The internal measurement is 31.4mm, 1.9mm in thickness and a 0.3mm inside edge. It dates to a period after 1797, when cartwheel pennies introduced. No photograph
