A complete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) silver Series E, Type 105 (E500) sceat (c. 675-c. 750). Abramson 2006: 90.

Obverse: Quilled crescent with pellet head, coiled right, enclosing four bars, with wavy exergual line.

Reverse: Runic Aethili/raed letters in two lines either side of base line. Triple beaded border. Probably a moneyer rather than Aethilred of Mercia.

Diameter: 13.0mm. Weight: 1.03g. DA=12:12. Abramson, T. 2006.
