Two sherds of Black Burnished ware pottery. The fabric is reduced dark grey with abundant rounded quartz sand temper (Poole Wareham fabric). The internal margin is slightly oxidised to a pale buff colour. The exterior surface has been heavily burnished in a band across the top. Below this is an incised girth band with an obtuse angled lattice design incised below that. Two conjoining sherds from a closed jar. The rim is missing. Handmade.
