A copper-alloy As struck for Hadrian, probably dating to c. AD 125-138. Reece period 6, mint of Rome. Reverse; possibly COS III S-C, Salus standing right holding snake in arms. C.f RIC vol. II, p. 469, no. 975 and LANCUM-AF7268. This is possibly a Coin of British Association similar to examples noted from the Sacred Spring at Bath, cf. Walker, 1988: p. 293, nos. 1-52, pl. XXXIII.
