A late Iron Age inscribed gold stater. North Eastern type attributed to the Corieltavi. 'VEP CORF' type, struck circa AD10-40. The obverse depicts a wreath crossed by a line. The reverse depicts a horse galloping left, with the inscription VEP/CORF surrounding it. The coin is rather flat when considered against the usual concave/convex profile seen on such coins.
