Copper alloy post-medieval duit of Zeeland (now part of the Netherlands) issued by the Dutch East India Company in AD 1763. The obverse has the inscription ZEELANDIA 1763 in four lines, and the reverse has the crowned arms of Zeeland (a lion rising from waves) with a very worn inscription around. A few letters can be made out and from parallels the inscription can be reconstructed as Luctor Et Emergo, translatable as Struggle and Arise, the motto of Zeeland.
