A flint Upper Palaeolithic to early Neolithic possible burin, dating from 150,000 BC - 3500 BC. Translucent white colour with a grey from underneath. Sub-triangular shaped, with slight retouching on the long edges. Struck with a hard hammer, there is a prominent bulb of percussion and strongly defined ripple marks. The extent of the retouch is short with a semi abrupt angle. The flint is worn. The burin measures 38.8mm in length, 17.8mm in width, and 9.4mm in thickness. It weighs 4.19g.
