Copper alloy possible balance fragment. A square cut from sheet metal of thickness 0.2mm, with a drawn wire loop of diameter 5mm presumably brazed to one corner, and with all four corners bent upwards, here taken to be one pan from a pair of scales, formerly suspended from all four corners. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1700-1900.
