A silver sixpence of James II, (1685-1688). Reverse: []; crowned cruciform shields. Obverse: laureate bust left.

The coin has been curved into a gentle S-shape indicating that it may have been reused as a 'love token'. The bust has been stamped with an oval countermark which is worn.
