Incomplete medieval copper alloy binding strip from a box or casket, comprising a narrow D-sectioned bar, broken at one end and with a scallop-shaped terminal and separate rivet at the other. Cf. NMS-D97C7D and NLM-A7BCE8. Extant length 28.8mm. Width of terminal 9.7mm. Width of bar 3.2mm. Thickness 1.8mm. 12th - early 13th century.
