Copper alloy possible scabbard chape. A sub-triangular object made of sheet metal of thickness 0.6mm with a possibly stamped panel of decoration on its display face, an indented upper edge where rivets may have secured chape to scabbard. The object appears partly unrolled behind; it was originally presumably constructed with an overlapping seam. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1500
