Four medieval sheet copper alloy "shield shaped" strap ends (Egan and Pritchard 1991, nos. 156-8), c.1270 - c.1450:
- angled inside edge, straight sides, bar-mount of arched section, two rivets, one with square rove, 13 x 8.9, bar-mount 4.7 x 8.9mm.
- rounded inside edge, two notches on both sides, bar-mount of arched section, two rivets, one missing, one with rectangular rove, 14.5 x 10.4, bar-mount 3.7 x 10.6mm.
- rounded inside edge, large rounded notch on both sides, bar mount lost, two rivets, one lost, one with rectangular rove (leather between rove and reverse), 15.7 x 11.5mm.
- bluntly angled inside edge, notch on both sides, two rivets with circular roves, one attached to flat quatrefoil mount, 18.2 x 10mm, mount 9.5 x 8.5mm. Cf. Egan and Pritchard 1991, no. 733, NMS-A8A2D1 and NMS-756D3F.
