Pale grey-buff flint, denticulate. Thick flake with broad curved flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a wavy concavo-convex ventral surface. Shallow notches, c. 2 per cm, were formed by short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect. Misty patina suggests the object has endured a period of exposure to a calcareous environment after its deposition. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC.
