A small flint Levalloisian core of likely early Bronze Age date c. 2200-1000 BC.
Description: The core is irregularly shaped with two striking platforms at right angles. The core has distinctive 'tortoise shell' flaking typical of Levalloisian production technique, however it is far smaller than the tools being produced during the Middle-Palaeolithic and likely relates to the use of the technique during the early Bronze Age. It seems probable due to the size of the core that it may have been produce a thumb nail scraper or other equally small tool. The core is light blue-grey mottled with white spots.
