Early Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 30mm in diameter and 17mm thick with a weight of 105.01grams. The object is circular in form and rectangular in cross section and has a central hole 7mm in diameter. It is decorated on its outer edge on one side with three circular stamps made up of c. 14 steep triangular depressions arranged around a circle. The form of the whorl is similar to Walton Rogers type B which she dates to 900-1100.
