Grey-buff translucent flint with cortex, possibly collected from the East Coast; backed blade. A small leaf-shap[ed flake with broad and narrow parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side, and with a gently concave ventral surface. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows the longest edge to form a cutting edge; the opposite long edge retains cortex and would permit pressure to be brought to bear. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC.
