An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Colchester derivative hinged bow brooch (c. AD 43-150).
This brooch currently has incomplete semi-cylindrical wings that enclose an incomplete and corroded iron axis bar. The wings may have originally been closed. The bow is convex at the front and flat at the rear. Viewed from the front, the bow tapers in width from the wings towards a break at the bottom.
This brooch is green and corroded.
