An incomplete copper-alloy pin dating to the Early Medieval period (c. AD 700 - 1100). The pin has a large globular head, with a small rounded knop at the apex. The head is separated from the stem by two moulded collars. Below the collar, there extends a circular-section tapering stem with a rounded point. The length of the stem suggests that the pin may have been re-worked. The pin measures 37mm in length. The head has a maximum diameter of 12mm; the stem has a maximum diameter of 4mm.
