Cast copper alloy mount with gilding on dating from the post-medieval period, that is c. 16th-17th century. The mount is tear-shaped with three pointed lugs on the reverse (at the top, centre and bottom) and moulded decoration on the obverse. Traces of gilding remain in the crevices throughout. The moulding is composed of a horizontal bar, with a small palmette below, garlands to either side and a cherub's face at the very top, flanked by foliage.
