A flint scraper of probable Mesolithic date, circa 9000 - 3450 BC. The flint has some cortex remaining on the right mesal and is therefore a secondary flake. The scraper is formed from an irregular rectangular shaped flake, slightly wider at the proximal end, with a D-shaped section. The flake is light bown in colour with paler inclusions. The dorsal side has three flakes removed in a parallel pattern. The ventral side is smooth with a low bulb of percussion and there is a distinct striking platform. There is short, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt retouch to the left mesal.
Length 17mm, width 13.5, thickness 3.8mm. Weight 1.4gm
