An incomplete copper-alloy Roman disc brooch, dating to the period AD 80-250. It is incomplete insofar as it is missing its pin, although the edge is somewhat damaged. It is broadly circular in shape, measuring 25.38mm in length and 30.02mm in width. From the catchplate, the brooch measures 6.33mm thick. At the two widest points the broadly circular shape has pointed knops. The brooch is framed by two concentric ridges, approximately 3.22mm apart. Within the smaller of the two concentric ridges, there is a ring of teardrop shaped enamel decoration. These are now light green in colour, but it is possible that this is the result of the original colour degrading. Within this there is a pair of concentric ridges, much closer together than the concentric ridges outside of the ring of teardrops. At the centre of this brooch is a circular piercing, measuring 2.35mm in diameter.
Aside from the teardrop decoration, the brooch is light brown in colour and has a rough patina. All damage is old. In total, it weighs 5.55g.
