A fragment of a cast, copper alloy, one piece Iron Age- Early Roman Brooch, comprising the spring and a piece of the pin 150BC-150AD. The object has lost all diagnostic features and so it is difficult to suggest a type or derivation for the brooch. It has symetrical spring coils, two upon either side of the pin, these are connected by a bowed wire that goes from the two outer coils. The whole object is made from one piece of metal.
