Medieval or Post Medieval lead spindle whorl, biconical with a 10mm diameter hole through its centre. Unlike most lead whorls, this example appears carefully executed with an elegant plant tredril running around one face. The other face is more complex bearing a number of motifs, a letter T with expanded arms, a six pointed star with a voided centre: a pear shaped pellet: a letter O, a single round pellet: a square of four pellets: two pellets, one above the other. The design might suggest a date later in the series. Diameter: 26.5mm, Height 10.6mm, Mass 28.07g.
